Sanjeevani ki Gaadi reaches Amritsar in Punjab breaking myths, protecting lives

The Harmandir Sahib, truly an abode of the gods, popularly known as the Golden Temple for Sikhs, the shrine is spiritually the most significant and sacred. It is the land of the five rivers, the region famous for its rich cuisine, endless varieties of its parathas, sweets and lassi.

A forgettable place that has always been at the crossroads of history, intensely connected and intertwined with India’s freedom movement. The 35-days Sanjeevani Ki Gaadi travelling from village to village along with the India-Pakistan border and right inside the hinterland, Network18 and Federal Bank's vaccine awareness campaign against COVID-19, Sanjeevani: A Shot of Life, is now in Amritsar District of Punjab.

Going from door-to-door, spreading awareness on vaccines, vaccination and COVID-19, Sanjeevani Ki Gaadi spanned over 70 villages in Amritsar district, covered five tehsils. The team has been to those villages basically because the death rate in Punjab is very high and people are not aware of the vaccine. There is a lot of vaccine hesitancy and myths, which are going around.
