PNB says Bhushan Power fraud will not impact balance sheet, account at advanced stage of NCLT resolution

Speaking about PNB’s exposure to the SME and the agricultural sector, Mehta said, given the support by the union budget 2019, these sectors are going to be the sunshine sectors during the current and the coming financial years.

"My NPAs in MUDRA is lower than my gross NPAs and net NPAs. Our gross NPAs and net NPAs in the agriculture sector is much lower than in other sectors – less than 10 percent,” he said.

In terms of loan growth, he further mentioned, “During current financial year, my slippages which were to the tune of Rs 16,000 crore last year is going to be further down this year maybe in the range of Rs 14,000 crore."

In terms of loan growth, Mehta said, "W are planning to grow by roughly 10 percent and we will be able to do it because we have churning of our portfolio and strategies and we are taking more exposure in lower risk weight assets than to the higher risk weight assets that will help us in maintaining our growth.”
