Moderating our pace of investment and will be more cautious, says Temasek

  He said that rate tightening may lead to a recessionary environment in the US.

Ravi Lambah, joint head of India, Temasek said we are moderating our pace of investment and we will be more careful and more cautious globally and we will apply the same lens when it comes to India where we have put $1.5 billion to work ever since the fiscal year closed in April.

He said that rate tightening may lead to a recessionary environment in the US.
He further said that trade war and geopolitical tension arising out of it to add to volatility and uncertainty.
“We are a long-term investor and so we do not manage our portfolio year-on-year but what we can do as we see developments play out is we will moderate our pace of investment,” Lambah further added.
We have invested in ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and continue to stay invested In them, he said.
"We are betting on growth in the housing sector and investing in related sectors," he added.
