Goldman Sachs’ new chief executive officer David Solomon is also a part-time electronic dance DJ.
On Tuesday, Goldman Sachs named David Solomon as the next CEO of the company.
The 56-year-old Solomon, who will replace Lloyd Blankfein, spins records around New York and Miami clubs and is popularly known as DJ D-Sol, reported CNNMoney on Tuesday.
According to the report, Solomon saw club and EDM music as growing businesses and "kind of stumbled into it as a hobby".
Solomon, Blankfein's chosen successor, has been with Goldman Sachs since 1999. Solomon held the title of co-chief operating officer along with Gary Cohen, who took a job as President Donald Trump's chief economic adviser before leaving the administration earlier this year.
Lloyd Blankfein has been the firm's chief executive officer and chairman for the last 12 years and will retire later this year.
