The realm of cryptocurrency and finance has been buzzing with excitement over the concept of tokenising real-world assets on the blockchain. In essence, this involves transforming ownership of tangible assets such as stocks, bonds, real estate, and commodities into digital tokens.
As per projections by the Boston Consulting Group, the
tokenisation industry is anticipated to reach $16 trillion by the year 2030.
Even the
US Federal Reserve has taken notice of this trend and recently published a working paper to explore the advantages and potential applications of asset tokenisation.
