Mumbai rains LIVE | Updates on train delays, traffic congestion, waterlogging in parts of Mumbai due to heavy rainfall

Trains on the central line from CST to Kalyan, Karjat, Khopoli and Kasara are running 10-15 minutes late due to waterlogging in Kalyan.

While, in Dahisar, Oshiwara and Kandivali heavy rains have affected vehicular traffic. Incessant rainfall has also caused waterlogging in Byculla, Trombay, Kandivali, Kalbadevi, Dahisar, Matunga, D N Nagar and Oshiwara regions of Mumbai.

Mumbai rains LIVE | Island city and Suburbs record rainfall of 223.2 mm and 145.1 mm, respectively in 24-hour period ending 8:30 am

Mumbai’s island city, eastern and western suburbs received an average rainfall of 50.87 mm, 32.13 mm and 23.55 mm, respectively, from 8 am to 1 pm on Thursday. In the 24-hour period ending at 8.30 am on Thursday, the Colaba observatory (representative of the island city) recorded "extremely heavy" rainfall at 223.2 mm, while the Santacruz observatory (representative of suburbs) recorded 145.1 mm rainfall, according to the IMD Mumbai. Mumbai rains LIVE | BMC says 477 pumps controlling waterlogging in Mumbai

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation on Thursday said that it has installed 477 pumps across the city to control waterlogging. There are 187 pumps in the city area, 124 in the eastern suburbs and 166 in the western suburbs.
