Mumbai's air quality, although still categorised as 'poor,' has shown slight improvement in comparison to the previous week. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has introduced a dust-suppressing vehicle equipped with mist-spraying capabilities for deployment in South Mumbai, spanning from Worli to Fort.

This vehicle is capable of carrying 1,000 liters of water and will administer mist four times daily, commencing at 6:30 am.
Concurrently, the BMC issued a warning on October 21, expressing its intention to cease construction activities at all sites, encompassing both private and government projects, if adequate dust and pollution control measures are not implemented. The BMC's official release also specified that comprehensive standard operating procedures and guidelines to enhance air quality are scheduled for issuance by October 23.
