Several flights and trains to and from Delhi were delayed due to dense fog in some isolated pockets of the city on Saturday morning.

The national capital on Saturday woke up to a cold morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 6.7 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.

Several flights to and from Delhi were delayed as flight operations were affected due to dense fog in some isolated pockets of the city.
A total of 17 trains to Delhi from other cities were running late due to dense fog in the morning, as per the CPRO, Northern Railways.
Trains like Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Express, Puri-New Delhi Express, and Prayagraj-New Delhi Express were running late by more than two hours, while Ranikamlapathi-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express, Manikpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin Express, and Hyderabad-New Delhi Express were running late by over five-and-a-half hours.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted a generally cloudy sky with very little rain/drizzle in isolated areas.
At 5:30 am, the Palam area recorded a 50-metre visibility. However, there was no dense fog reported at the Delhi Airport at 8.30 am on Saturday.
As per the weather department, Palam Airport reported visibility of 800 metres, while Safdarjung reported 1,500 metres visibility.
The maximum temperature in the city is expected to settle at around 20 degrees Celsius in the city, the IMD said.
The humidity was recorded at 95% at 8.30 am.
Meanwhile, the overall air quality in the national capital was recorded in the 'poor' category with a reading of 222 at 10 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 214 in Anand Vihar, 239 in Ashok Nagar, 260 in Bawana, 174 at IGI Airport, 167 at ITO, 303 in Jahangirpuri, 103 at Lodhi Road, 257 in Mundka, 165 in Najafgarh, 270 in New Moti Bagh, 162 in Patparganj, 147 in Rohini, 242 in Sonia Vihar and 271 in Vivek Vihar.
Earlier on Friday, the city's AQI was in the ‘moderate’ category with a reading of 178.
An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
For Sunday, the IMD has predicted a generally cloudy sky and moderate fog in the morning, while light rain/thundershowers are expected at most places in the city.
