Areas like Anand Vihar, Dwarka, Indira Gandhi International Airport, ITO, Jahangirpuri, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Mundka, Najafgarh and Patparganj reported ‘very poor’ air quality.

Delhi air quality continues to remain in ‘very poor’ category, AQI at 320
The air quality in Delhi continued to remain in the ‘very poor’ category for the fifth consecutive day on Monday morning. As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the overall air quality index (AQI) of Delhi was recorded at 320.

As per the monitored data of CPCB recorded from different areas of the city, most parts of the national capital witnessed ‘very poor’ air quality and only a few areas reported ‘poor’ air quality. Additionally, most of the places across the city have also been witnessing smog-filled mornings for the past few days.
Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) in several places at 9 am on Monday also remained in the ‘very poor’ category. The AQI in Anand Vihar stood at 311, Dwarka at 354, Indira Gandhi International Airport at 332, ITO at 328, Jahangirpuri at 329, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at 334, Mundka at 366, Najafgarh at 313, Patparganj at 322, Rohini at 306, and Wazirpur at 315.
On the other hand, areas like Ashok Vihar recorded AQI at 298, DTU at 250, Lodhi Road at 281, Narela at 299, and Shadipur at 295 at 9 am on Monday, all falling in the ‘poor category’.
Meanwhile, the visuals shared by news agency ANI showed many areas covered under a layer of haze on Monday morning. Areas like Lodhi Road, Kartavya Path, and India Gate witnessed smog-filled skies.
 
In the National Capital Regions (NCR), most of the places recorded a ‘poor’ air quality on Monday as AQI in Noida stood at 257, Greater Noida at 262, Ghaziabad at 230, and Gurugram at 247. In Faridabad, AQI stood at 308 in the ‘very poor’ category.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) mentioned that there is no possibility of rain on Monday and the sky will eventually be clear with light moderate fog due to the arrival of winter. The wind speed in the city is expected to increase from Tuesday, which may result in improving the air pollution in Delhi.
