Yash Raj Films (YRF) has announced the launch of a social media application tailored for aspiring actors. The production house revealed that the YRF Casting App aims to streamline the casting process for its films and series, providing direct access to casting calls for budding talent worldwide.
In a bid to combat the prevalence of fake casting calls associated with the company's name, YRF emphasises the authenticity and reliability of its platform. Aspiring actors can now conveniently register their profiles and submit auditions through the app, eliminating the uncertainty often associated with traditional casting procedures.
Overseeing this innovative approach to talent acquisition is Shanoo Sharma, renowned for her role in identifying and nurturing actors for YRF projects. Sharma said the YRF Casting App is a "progressive step" towards helping aspiring actors reach out directly to the studio for projects.
"This is a pivotal moment for aspiring actors globally," Sharma remarked, highlighting the unprecedented accessibility the app affords. "For the first time, talent can directly connect with a production house, transcending geographical barriers and intermediaries. It's a transformative opportunity empowering individuals to pursue their dreams."
The YRF Casting App is now available for use.
