Navratri, translating to ‘nine nights,’ is a Hindu festival venerating Durga, represented in her nine forms, ranging from the fierce Kaalratri to the creator Kushmanda. Celebrated uniquely across various Indian regions, in Gujarat, it involves nine nights of dancing as a form of worship. This year, Navratri festivities start on October 15 and end on October 24.
