Superstar Kamal Haasan and acclaimed director Mani Ratnam have come together after more than 35 years for their much talked about project, Thug Life. The title reveal video of the action drama is now out on YouTube. Notably, the makers decided to release the first glimpse of the film on the eve of actor Kamal Haasan’s birthday on November 7.
In the film’s title announcement video, which was tentatively titled KH234, Kamal Haasan is seen in rugged attire. The title reveal video gives a glimpse of his fierce avatar as he is seen entangled in an enthralling combat sequence against a group of henchmen. It culminates with the revelation of the film’s title, Thug Life. The dynamic stunts is bound to thrill audiences.

Interestingly, ahead of the video release, Kamal Haasan dropped the first-look poster of KH 234 on social media.
The action sequences have been accompanied by an extraordinary musical score, intensifying the overall anticipation and thrill of the movie, set against a dystopian backdrop. According to reports, the cast of the movie includes Trisha Krishnan, Dulquer Salmaan, and Jayam Ravi.
The film has been jointly bankrolled by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R. Mahendran, and Siva Ananthi under the banners of Raaj Kamal International Films and Madras Talkies.
Musical maestro A.R. Rahman is the film’s music director while Ravi K. Chandran captured its visual grandeur as the cinematographer. The duo Anbariv, who collaborated with Kamal Haasan for Vikram, have been roped in for action choreography.
Besides Thug Life, Kamal will also star in Indian 2, the sequel to Shankar's 1996 blockbuster vigilante action film, a Hindustan Times report elaborated. The actor will reprise the role of Senapathy in the sequel, slated to release in cinemas on April 12, 2024. The film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, and Rakul Preet Singh.
More on the work front, the veteran actor will also star in Nag Ashwin's epic science fiction film Kalki 2898 AD. The film's cast includes Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles. It is slated to release in cinemas on January 12, 2024.
