Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have teamed up again for the upcoming film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which will be presented by Karan Johar. The duo last appeared in Nitesh Tiwari's 2023 film Bawaal. On Thursday, Johar's Dharma Productions shared an announcement video of the upcoming romantic comedy on social media. The film will hit the big screen on April 18, 2025.
“Your Sanskari is on his way to get his Kumari! This love story wrapped with entertainment is coming to the big screens. #SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari in cinemas, 18th April 2025," read the post by the banner on X.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will be helmed by Shashank Khaitan, who has previously directed Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Dhadak and Govinda Naam Mera.
The film will feature Varun Dhawan essaying the titular role of Sunny Sanskari, while Janhvi Kapoor will be seen as Tulsi Kumari. It will be jointly produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Khaitan.
"A kahaani of ‘Sanskari’ & his to-be ‘Kumari’! This love story wrapped with entertainment is coming to the big screens! #SunnySanskariKiTulsiKumari in cinemas, 18th April 2025," Apoorva Mehta wrote on Instagram.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is being touted as the third part in Karan Johar and Shashank Khaitan's 'Dulhania' franchise.
Earlier this year, reports claimed that Alia Bhatt, who starred opposite Varun Dhawan in the last two Dulhania films, has been replaced by Janhvi Kapoor for the third instalment.
However, Karan Johar seemingly reacted to the claim and asked people "to not conjecture about' the upcoming film.
“Every morning I wake up to news that is not an official confirmation by Dharma Productions… would request members of the media to please not conjecture about the continuance of a franchise or the beginning of one! We will give details when the time and plans are formulated and fructified! We are humbled by the excitement shown by our future films but would love to have accuracy instead of speculation… Respectfully, Karan Johar,” he wrote on Instagram Stories.
