Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3 has crossed the ₹150 crore mark at the domestic box office by the 4th day since its release on Diwali, November 12. While continuing its stellar run across all languages in India, the movie is inching closer to ₹250 crore mark globally.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk.com, the action drama has collected ₹157.37 crore India net across all languages by Wednesday, November 15. It includes the early estimates of ₹9.87 crore collection on day four.
As per the trade reports, Tiger 3 witnessed an overall occupancy rate of 16.08% in Hindi on Wednesday. The overall occupancy rate in Hindi (2D) format in Mumbai stood at 16% while in the National Capital Region (NCR) it was 16.5%.
According to the Sacnilk data, the spy thriller opened with ₹44.5 crore on Diwali day, which also marked Salman Khan’s highest opening so far. The movie minted ₹59 crore on the second day and on the third day, it grossed ₹42.5 crore at the domestic box office.
On the other hand, the total worldwide collection of Tiger 3 now stands at ₹241.85 crore on the fourth day. The total collection includes ₹147.5 crore net in India and ₹65 crore overseas.
The Maneesh Sharma helmed Tiger 3 is the third instalment of the Tiger franchise and a part of the YRF’s spy universe.
The movie is the fifth part of the Yash Raj Films’ spy universe series following Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War and Pathaan.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are reprising their roles of Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger and Zoya, respectively. It features an ensemble cast of Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist and has impactful cameo roles of Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan, recreating their presence as in War and Pathaan. Acclaimed actor Kumud Mishra and well-known actress Revathi are also playing pivotal roles in the movie.
