Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3 has surpassed the ₹ 100 crore milestone at the box office on the second day after its release on Diwali, on November 12. The action drama continued its stellar run at the box office on Monday surpassing its record opening collection to garner ₹ 102.02 crore net at the domestic box office in all languages, as per industry tracker Sacnilk.com.
Tiger 3 box office collection is estimated to be ₹ 57.5 crore India net, showing a 29% jump from the record ₹ 44.5 crore collection on opening day, according to Sacnilk data.
Tiger 3 collected nearly ₹ 44.5 crore in all languages at the domestic box office on its opening day on Diwali, becoming the biggest opener in Salman Khan’s career. The movie has been released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
On the second day, the total India net collection from Hindi stood at ₹ 56.43 crore while the Telugu version collected ₹ 87 lakh and Tamil ₹ 22 lakh.
While the Hindi version of the movie has collected ₹ 99.43 crore in two days, the Telugu version collected ₹ 2.17 crore and the Tamil version ₹ 42 lakh at the domestic box office, according to Sacnilk data.
The Salman Khan starrer had occupancy of 48.62% for the Hindi version while the highest occupancy in theatres was 62.54% for the evening show on day 2, as per Sacnilk data.
The action thriller film received positive reviews from fans as well as critics while continuing its stellar run at the box office.
The Maneesh Sharma-helmed film also features Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist, with special appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan, who have earlier been featured in YRF’s spy universe movies, Pathaan and War, respectively.
In the movie Salman and Katrina reprise their roles as Tiger and Zoya, respectively. Tiger 3 is the third movie of the Tiger franchise and is also a part of YRF’s spy universe, which includes Pathaan and War.
