Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Diwali release, Tiger 3 has received a massive and positive response from fans and critics. It has seen record collections at the box office on its opening day with nearly ₹45 crore net in India, according to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com.
Sharing the first-day collection of Tiger 3 at the national chains till 12:30 pm on Sunday, trade analyst and movie critic Taran Adarsh tweeted that the film garnered ₹8.75 crore at PVR Inox and ₹2.10 crore at Cinepolis, totalling to ₹10.85 crore.

According to Sacnilk, the total collection till 4 pm on Diwali day reached ₹35 crore.

According to an early trade estimate of Sacnilk, the action-thriller has earned ₹44.5 on its opening day in India, across all languages. It witnessed a 41.32% occupancy in the Hindi screenings. Mumbai contributed the highest while Delhi NCR, Pune and Bengaluru occupied the 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots in occupancy. Reportedly, Tiger 3 has been released on 5,500 screens in India and 3,400 overseas.
The film Tiger 3 has turned out to be Salman Khan’s biggest opener, beating Ali Abbas Zafar directed Bharat in 2019, which minted ₹42.30 crore on its first day of release and Sooraj Barjatya's 2015 Diwali release Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, which minted ₹40.35 crore.
Similarly, for Katrina, Tiger 3 is the third biggest opener after Vijay Krishna Acharya's Thugs of Hindostan in 2018 garnering ₹52.25 crore, and Bharat with Salman.
Tiger 3 is the third instalment of the Tiger franchise, while the fifth part of the Yash Raj Films Spy Universe follows War and Pathaan. The film was directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra.
Besides Salman and Katrina in the film, it features an ensemble cast of Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist and Shah Rukh Khan along with Hrithik Roshan in a cameo.
