Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan starrer Shaitaan continues to see a good response at theatres in its second week. Despite significant releases such as Yodha and Bastar- The Naxal Story, the film has maintained its pace at the box office.
According to the industry tracker Sacnilk.com, the total collection of Shaitaan in a week has reached ₹79.75 crore. The early estimates of day 8 (second Friday) suggest the film collected around ₹4.5 crore. With this, the film is expected to touch ₹90 crore mark soon at the domestic box office.
On the day of release on Friday, March 8, the film amassed an impressive opening of ₹14.75 crore net in the domestic market. The following Saturday, March 9, Shaitaan witnessed a 27.12% growth at the box office and earned ₹18.75 crore net, as per Sacnilk data. On its first Sunday, March 10, the film saw a further growth of 9.33% in India collection while minting ₹20.5 crore net.
However, in the following week, Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan starrer saw a dip of 64.63% and collected ₹7.25 crore net on Monday. Gradually, the film has witnessed a rise in footfall.
Meanwhile, the movie critic and analyst, Taran Adarsh posted on the microblogging platform X. He wrote, “Shaitaan packs a FANTASTIC SCORE in Week 1… Metros, Tier 2 centers, mass belt, heartland - the supernatural-thriller has found acceptance across the board.”

Moreover, the psycho-thriller has been gaining major attention for its engaging narrative, exceptional performances, and stellar plot. Siddharth Anand's helmed film also features Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, and Anngad Raaj in supporting roles.
The film revolves around a timeless battle of the good versus the evil. While R Madhavan plays a sinister character, Ajay Devgn and Jyothika play a married couple on screen. As per the reports, the film is a remake of a Gujarati film, Vash released in 2023.
Shaitaan has been produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak and has been presented by Jio Studios, Devgn Films and Panorama Studios.
Shaitaan has been facing competition from Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre-directed Yodha featuring Siddharth Malhotra, Raashii Khanna, and Disha Patani. Alongside, the big screens are also witnessing Sudipto Sen helmed Bastar: The Naxal Story featuring Adah Sharma, Yashpal Sharma, and Raima Sen among others.
