Prabhas' Salaar nears ₹500 crore mark worldwide; SRK-starrer 'Dunki' crosses ₹250 crore
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas-starrer Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire registered their lowest single-day haul on Tuesday.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Dunki made ₹10.25 crore and witnessed an overall occupancy of 22.28% on the sixth day, according to sacnilk.com. Released on Thursday (December 21), the film has now earned ₹ 140.20 crore at the domestic box office.
On the other hand, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire raked in ₹23.50 crore, with an overall Telugu occupancy of 40.94% on the fifth day (Tuesday), the report added. The film, which hit screens worldwide on Friday (December 22), has collected ₹280.3 crore across all languages in India.
Dunki is Shah Rukh Khan's third film of the year. It also features Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani. SRK rewrote box office records with Pathaan and Jawan.
According to Red Chillies Entertainment, who co-produced the film, Dunki has crossed the ₹250 crore mark worldwide, with its total earnings at ₹256.40 crore.
Dunki, which has been co-written by Hirani, Abhijaat Joshi, and Kanika Dhillon, is based on an illegal immigration technique named 'donkey flight'.
Meanwhile, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire is continuing its dream run at the box office worldwide. The film has reportedly minted over ₹450 crore globally and is heading towards the ₹500 crore mark.
The Prashanth Neel, which also features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan, is giving stiff competition to Dunki in the Hindi belt.
"#Salaar is going bonkers in Hindi belt today, Superb Trending. Performing better than Xmas in Kolkata today. Inox Elgin Road all noon and night shows getting sold out. Day 6 can challenge Day 1 Biz that too on working day.. Power of Extraordinary WOM #Prabhas," trade expert Sumit Kadel wrote on X.

Trade expert Girish Johar said, “As per Tuesday #BOTrends... #Salaar is not that strong in the southern belt, as it was expected but is reasonably good in the Hindi mass belts. #Dunki witnessed a fall too but is relatively better in the metros & urban mpxs... Since no major upcoming releases are there, both will be gathering some more moolah going ahead!"
With no big release slated for release this weekend, Dunki and Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire are expected to dominate the box office in the country.
