Following the roaring success of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, Prabhas is now prepping up for the release of Kalki 2898 AD. Amid this, the actor on Monday announced another project, titled The Raja Saab. On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, Prabhas shared the first look poster of the film on social media.

"Presenting #TheRajaSaab's First Look in this festive season. Wishing you all joy and happiness," he wrote on Instagram.
The first look of the film showcases Prabhas donning a black shirt and a colourful lungi, with a captivating smile, as he dances on an empty street.
The Raja Saab will be helmed by Maruthi Dasari, who has previously directed films like Prema Katha Chitram, Mahanubhavudu, and Prati Roju Pandage. It will be produced under the People Media Factory banner with T.G. Vishwa Prasad as producer and Vivek Kuchibotla as co-producer. It will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
Talking about the project, Maruthi told Variety, “The Raja Saab stands as one of my most ambitious projects to date. Collaborating with Prabhas and People Media Factory is both an honour and excitement for me as a filmmaker. We are geared up to offer our audiences a grand horror experience. Having Prabhas on board is particularly special as his electrifying screen presence infused with our horror narrative is sure to leave audiences amazed.”
Meanwhile, the film's producer said Prabhas is a "pan-India star who’s loved by audiences for his brilliant range as an actor".
“Audiences can expect to see him in a messy and vintage look that they have long yearned for. With Maruthi’s filmmaking brilliance, we are truly looking forward to beginning this journey,” Prasad said.
Prabhas' latest release, Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, has minted over ₹625 crore at the box office worldwide. The Prashanth Neel directorial hit screens across the globe on December 22.
The Baahubali actor is now gearing up for Kalki 2898 AD, touted to be the most expensive film ever made in Indian cinema.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani. It will be released on May 9, 2024.
