Here are some of the shows and films that you can watch this week with your family and friends:
1. Fighter (Netflix)
After winning hearts at the box office, Siddharth Anand's Fighter is now gearing up for its OTT debut this week, as per multiple reports. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in the lead, the film showcases a group of elite IAF aviators — Air Dragons — who come together to protect and serve their country.
An official announcement regarding the film's OTT debut is yet to be made by the makers.
2. Ae Watan Mere Watan (Amazon Prime Video)
Starring Sara Ali Khan in the lead, Ae Watan Mere Watan is a historical biographical drama inspired by the life of Usha Mehta. As a young girl, Mehta began an underground radio station to spread the message of unity back in 1942 during the British era. The film also features Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O’Nell, and Anand Tiwari. It is all set for release on Amazon Prime Video on March 21.
3. Oppenheimer (JioCinema)
Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer narrates the journey of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the American theoretical physicist who helped develop the first nuclear weapons during the World War II. The film features Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr and Florence Pugh among others. Recently, the film won seven awards at the 96th Academy Awards, among multiple other prestigious prizes. It will premiere on JioCinema on March 21.
4. Top Chef (JioCinema)
Another the latest offerings on the JioCinema platform this week will be the 21st season of popular reality competition show Top Chef. The show features a group of talented chefs competing against each other to impress the Top Chef judges with their culinary skills. The 21st season of the show will start streaming from March 21.
5. Lootere (Disney+ Hotstar)
Lootere, which has been created by Hansal Mehta, is based on the real life story of an Indian ship which was hijacked by pirates in Somalian waters. This edge-of-the-seat thriller features an ensemble cast including Vivek Gomber, Deepak Tijori, Rajat Kapoor, Chandan Roy Sanyal, and Amruta Khanvilkar among others.
The web series will start streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from March 22.
6. 3 Body Problem
Created by David Benioff, D. B. Weiss and Alexander Woo, this science fiction TV series is based on the Chinese novel of the same name by Liu Cixin. The series is expected to premiere on Netflix on March 21. Describing the series, the OTT platform said, "Across continents and decades, five brilliant friends make earth-shattering discoveries as the laws of science unravel and an existential threat emerges." It features Benedict Wong, Jess Hong, Jovan Adepo and John Bradley among others.
