Nikhil Kamath unveils WTF Fund to fire up India's rising creators — how to apply

Entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath — along with notable creators like Tanmay Bhat, Ranveer Allahbadia, Prajakta Koli, and Nuseir Yassin — has introduced the WTF Fund For Creators. This initiative aims to shake up India's content creation scene and give a leg-up to emerging talents.

Kamath shared his thoughts on the fund, acknowledging the significant growth in the creator economy, expressing a positive outlook on its future. "The WTF Fund is about closing the gap by offering a platform, tools, and mentorship to empower creators in shaping narratives that truly resonate," he noted.

The WTF Fund signals a shift in India's creative landscape, focusing on discovering and nurturing promising talent.

Aspiring creators are invited to submit a one-minute video showcasing their perspective on any aspect of India, from city life to culture and food. Participants can tag @nikhilkamathcio and @wtf_is_podcast on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) and use the hashtag #WTFforCreators for a chance to win a creator kit, including a mobile phone, tripod, lighting equipment, and essential tools for a jumpstart in the creator space. Fifty winners will be selected.

For those who want to enter the content creation realm but lack the means to produce a video, an alternative option exists. They can submit a 300-word email to wtfis@nksqr.com, outlining their aspirations to step into the creator world. The top 25 entries will gain access to exclusive @nasdaily classes, provided by Israeli-Palestinian vlogger Nuseir Yassin, offering valuable learning opportunities.

Participants are encouraged to tag the panellists (Nuseir Yassin, Tanmay Bhat, Prajakta Koli, and Ranveer Allahbadia) from Episode #13 on Instagram for increased engagement. The deadline for submissions is 8 pm, January 15, 2024.
