National Cinema Day 2023: Watch movies at PVR, Inox for only Rs 99 on October 13
National Cinema Day is finally returning in its second edition this year with another attractive offer on movie tickets. The Multiplex Association of India (MAI) has announced that movie goers can watch films at multiplexes just for Rs 99 on National Cinema Day, which will be celebrated on October 13 this year.

The Multiplex Association of India shared the details of the day in a tweet on Thursday, September 21.
“National Cinema Day is back on October 13. Join us at over 4000+ screens across India for an incredible cinematic experience, with movie tickets priced at just Rs 99. It's the perfect day to enjoy your favourite films with friends and family.”
As per the announcement, audiences can get tickets at just Rs 99 to watch films at around 4,000 screens across the country. Leading multiplex chains and standalone theatres, including PVR, INOX, Cinepolis, Carnival, Miraj, Citypride, Asian, Mukta A2, Movietime, Wave, M2K and Delight, among others are participating in this special celebration.
However, this price will not be applicable for the recliners and premium formats like 4DX and IMAX.
“This special occasion brings audiences of all ages together for a day of cinematic bliss, celebrating the incredible success of multiple films at the box office this year. It's a heartfelt ‘thank you' to all the moviegoers who contributed to this success and an open invitation to those who haven't returned to their local cinema,” the MAI statement said.
The National Cinema Day was initiated in 2022 and it was a big hit among the film lovers. In the first edition of the day, which was held on September 23 last year, more than 65 lakh moviegoers visited cinemas. The movie tickets were priced at just Rs 75.
As per the reports, most of the shows were sold out. So, the Multiplex Association of India decided to continue experimenting with the price drop model in future as well.
Meanwhile, this year the event has been delayed by a month as the association did not want to hamper Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan’s box office collection because of the low ticket cost.
