A new Miss World will be crowned on Saturday at a ceremony which will be co-hosted by former Miss World Megan Young and ace filmmaker Karan Johar. The much-awaited grand finale of the Miss World 2024 pageant will be held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai on Saturday evening.
Besides these two, the Miss World 2024 finale promises to be an unforgettable spectacle and will witness performances by Shaan, Neha Kakkar and Tony Kakkar among others.
The Miss World finale has returned to India after 28 years, marking a historic moment in the pageant's legacy. The event to be watched by millions will see reigning Miss World, Karoline Bielawska, who was crowned in Puerto Rico, pass the crown to the 71st Miss World.
This is the second time the Miss World pageant is taking place in India – the first being in 1996.
Miss World 2024: Time of grand finale event
The grand finale of the 71st Miss World pageant will kickstart at 7:30 pm local time or 2 pm (GMT).
Miss World 2024: Who is representing India?
Sini Shetty is representing the host country at the Miss World 2024 competition. She was crowned Femina Miss India World 2022.
The 22-year-old was born in Mumbai and is a finance graduate. She is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer.
Miss World 2024: Where to watch the grand finale
The event will be live-streamed on the official Miss World website at missworld.com. The Miss World 2024 finale will be telecast globally on Sony LIV to over 100 countries starting at 7:30 pm.
Miss World 2024: Performances
The grand finale will witness an electrifying performance by Tony Kakkar and Neha Kakkar, known for their numerous hit numbers. As per an official release, their performance at the event will feature a new song, which they have specially composed for the occasion.
Besides them, the event will also see Shaan taking centre stage to enthral the audience.
Toni-Ann Singh, who was crowned Miss World in 2019 from Jamaica, is returning to the Miss World stage, this time as a performer. She will be presenting her new single on Saturday night.
