The first look poster of Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi’s 50th film, Maharaja, is out and fans can’t stop reacting to the actor’s wounded look. Amid the box office frenzy around his recent Hindi release Jawan, wherein the Tamil actor played the role of antagonist against Shah Rukh Khan, the first look of Maharaja has been dropped over the internet adding to the excitement of his fans.

The upcoming film of Vijay Sethupathi has been in the news since its announcement. The actor shared his first-look poster from the upcoming film in a tweet.
The first-look poster of Maharaja was also shared by the makers of the movie. The intense look of Vijay Sethupathi in the poster indicates the movie to be an action thriller and fans can’t stop reacting.
One of the Twitter users commented, “Welcome to the world of Don… Furious First look.”
Another one added, “Thalaiva Vera level”
Meanwhile, a third user said, “Is there anything that you can't do”
After the poster was shared by the actor, it gained over 3 lakh views on Twitter along with over 12,000 likes.
Adding to the buzz, while highlighting Vijay’s 50th film, filmmaker and the co-star of Vijay in Maharaja, Anurag Kashyap shared the poster on the social media platform Instagram and expressed the delight of working with the team.
“Congratulations Vijay Sethupathi for your 50th film. So honoured and delighted to be part of it. Congratulations passionstudiosoffl and dir_nithilan mamtamohan abhiramiact and the whole team ... looking forward ... all the best to all of us,” Anurag Kashyap wrote.
The poster shows Vijay Sethupathi sitting on a saloon chair, and he is covered in blood stains from head to toe. The actor is seen holding a machete in his hand. There's a bandage covering one of his ears. The actor has been seen expressing grief in his first poster while he is surrounded by several police officials in the background looking at him. The intense Maharaja first look gives audiences a glimpse into the film and how it will be dealing with crime.
Besides Maharaja marking the actor’s 50th film, it is also Vijay Sethupathi’s first collaboration with Kurangu Bommai fame director Nithilan Swaminathan. Maharaja has been jointly produced under the banners of Sudhan Sundaram and Jagdish Palanisamy, Passion Studios and Route, respectively.
