Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's latest film, Jawan, has taken the box office by storm, shattering all records and setting new milestones. The action-packed vigilante thriller, which hit theatres on September 7, stormed the opening day with an astounding collection of Rs 75 crore across India. According to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, Jawan has now exceeded even that record by raking in an impressive Rs 85 crore on Sunday alone, making it the highest single-day collection ever recorded for any Hindi movie.
With this latest surge in earnings, the film's total collection in India after its first weekend stood at Rs 287.06 crore. With an estimated Rs 30 crore collection on Monday, the movie is all set to breach the Rs 300 crore mark on its fifth day, Monday, September 11, according to Sacnilk.
The film isn't just dominating the domestic box office; it's making waves globally. In a mere three days, the film has collected Rs 384.69 crore worldwide. In its first five days at the domestic box office, the film has firmly established itself as one of the highest-grossing Indian films of the year.
Renowned film critic Taran Adarsh expressed his astonishment at the film's Day 4 performance, calling it the “all-time highest single day at national chains.”

Film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared equally impressive statistics, revealing that Jawan sold a record-breaking 28,75,961 tickets from tracked shows alone in India on its fourth day – an unparalleled achievement in Bollywood history. The film's global earnings have also crossed the coveted Rs 500 crore mark, making Shah Rukh Khan the only actor to achieve this feat twice in a single year.

Jawan, which marks director Atlee's debut in Hindi cinema, is a vigilante action thriller produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role as father and son doppelgangers who join forces to combat corruption in Indian society. Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone (in a cameo role), Priyamani, and Sanya Malhotra are among the star-studded cast members.
Notably, Jawan made history by becoming the first Indian film to be released in IMAX Leonberg, the world's largest cinema theatre. It also made its debut in Bangladesh on the same day as its Indian release, further expanding its global reach.
