Harry Potter fans will soon be able to take up their wands, put on their robes and immerse themselves in the 'wizarding world' at a studio tour set to open in Tokyo on Friday (June 16).

Located in the west of the capital, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo aims to lure fans from all over Asia into their beloved Harry Potter universe with a series of recreated iconic film sets including the Great Hall, the Hogwarts Express, and the Diagon Alley.
The walk-through tour will be the second facility following the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, which opened in the UK in 2012 and had attracted millions of visitors.
In addition to the existing movie sets seen in London, visitors of the Tokyo tour will have get to a few more -- such as becoming a part of moving portraits on the walls of Hogwarts, said Torben Jensen, vice president and general manager of the tour.
With global tourism picking up after the COVID-19 pandemic, Jensen said the tour had seen huge interest for the park. Tickets for adults cost 6,300 ($45.03) and were already sold out into August before the park's opening day, he added.
The movie franchise, based on J.K. Rowling's hit book series, marks its 22th anniversary this year. The first Harry Potter film "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" was released in 2001.as well."

"What's unique here for Tokyo is that we also have added some sets which is not available in London. For instance we have the moving marble staircase where the guests can also have their portraits taken and become a moving portrait on the walls.
"We also have additional numbers of interactives, where the guests can come even closer to the magic of movie making, become a crowd in the Quidditch match, create their own 'Death Eater mask', and be a part of a wand demonstration as well."
