The Hindi trailer of the upcoming Bengali movie Bagha Jatin is out ahead of its release during the Dussehra week. The trailer has been launched at the historic Alipore Jail Museum, today, in the presence of the film’s cast and crew.
The movie, based on the real-life story of freedom fighter and revolutionary Jatindranath Mukherjee will have a pan-India release on October 20, ahead of Durga Puja.

Bengali superstar Dev is playing the lead role of Bagha Jatin. After the release of the trailer, many users reacted with positive comments.
“Bengali movies are so unique,” wrote a user.
Another user added, “Bagha Jatin is the biggest movie of the Bengali film industry starring Bengal's biggest superstar Dev. This is giving blockbuster vibes throughout. Looking forward to it.”
“Superstar Dev in & as Bagha is coming to Roar,” the third one said.
The presenter of the film shared the full trailer on YouTube which has reached thousands of views in just two hours. In the two-minute-46-second trailer, Dev is seen playing the role of Jatindranath Mukherjee.
Many viewers praised the effort of makers to portray the courageous life story of Jatindranath Mukherjee on the silver screen. One of them said, “Very proud moment now our Bengali industry is pan India.”
Another commented, “As a Bengali, we need these types of movies.”
Meanwhile, at the trailer launch event, Dev expressed his admiration for Jatindranath Mukherjee and described him as a beacon of inspiration.
Apart from the superstar Dev, Arun Roy helmed Bagha Jatin features Sreeja Dutta, Sudipta Chakraborty and Sajal Mondal among others. The film has been scheduled to hit the theatres close to Durga Puja this year, on October 20.
