'Article 370' Box Office Collection Day 3: Yami Gautam-starrer mints ₹22.80 crore in opening weekend
Article 370, starring Yami Gautam and Priyamani in the lead, has managed to strike a chord with the cine-goers and struck gold at the box office. After witnessing a strong opening at the box office, the political thriller continued its strong run over the weekend, collecting ₹22.80 crore, according to sacnilk.com.

Article 370 minted around ₹9.50 crore at the domestic box office on Sunday and saw an overall occupancy of 33.79%.
The film hit screens across the country on February 23 and raked in ₹ 5.9 crore on its opening day, followed by ₹ 7.4 crore on Saturday. This takes the film's total collection in India to ₹22.80 crore.
On Sunday, Article 370 saw an occupancy of 18.65% in the morning shows, followed by 35.39% in the afternoon. Towards the evening, the film's occupancy reached 45.64%.
Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, the film was produced under the B62 Studios banner.
Besides Yami Gautam and Priyamani, it also features Raj Arun, Arun Govil, Kiran Karmarkar, Mohan Agashe, and Vaibhav Tatwawadi in pivotal roles.
Article 370 has been riding high on success in the domestic market, winning over both critics and viewers, but its performance at the box office is hampered by the ban in several Gulf countries.
The film is centred around Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government's decision to revoke Article 370 which granted special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir.
On February 20, PM Modi addressed a gathering in Jammu and said that Article 370 would be useful for the audience to get correct information.
“I've heard that a film on Article 370 is going to be released this week. I think your 'Jai Jai Kaar' is going to be heard all over the country," he had said.
Article 370 clashed with director Aditya Datt's Crakk at the box office. The film stars Vidyut Jammwal, Arjun Rampal, Nora Fatehi, and Amy Jackson in the lead.
According to reports, Crakk has earned around ₹8.80 crore in its opening weekend.
