‘Animal’ pre-release event: Mahesh Babu calls Ranbir Kapoor 'best actor in India' | Watch

“...I have told him this before also when I met him, but I don't think he took me seriously. So, today on this stage I am saying that I am a huge Ranbir Kapoor fan and in my opinion, I think he is the best actor in India. I have a feeling, Ranbir, Animal is your best work to date,” Mahesh said.

 

The Barfi actor looked emotional as he smiled at Mahesh Babu's words. According to a Hindustan Times report, Ranbir, in reply, said that Mahesh Babu was the first superstar he ever met.

Fans of the actors took to social media to gush over the moment at the Animal promotional event.

“The words coming from Mahesh Babu to Ranbir is the greatest honour any Bollywood star has ever got. So so proud,” one user wrote.

Helmed by Kabir Singh fame director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal is all set to release across the country on December 1.

The trailer of the much-awaited film, released last week, has received over 7 crore views on YouTube so far. The film has already created a buzz on social media after the trailer release with many fans calling it Ranbir Kapoor’s best performance so far.

Meanwhile, the movie has garnered nearly ₹10 crore in advance booking ahead of its release, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.com.

The trailer gives a glimpse into Ranbir Kapoor's character, a fierce son out to avenge his father’s murder. Anil Kapoor plays the role of Ranbir's father Balbir Singh in Animal, while Rashmika is seen as Ranbir's love interest and Bobby Deol has essayed the role of antagonist.
