For the ones who missed the chance to watch the Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer Animal on the big screen, you can watch it now on OTT. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is all set for its OTT premiere on the streaming platform Netflix on Friday, January 26.
The official handle of Netflix on X wrote, “The air is dense and the temperature is rising. Witness his wild rage in Animal, streaming from 26 January on Netflix in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.”

In just a couple of hours of the announcement, numerous excited viewers commented on it.
One among the several X users wrote, “I'm waiting for this movie.”
Another added, “Salute the champion. Make way for the biggest movie of the year.”
“Extended cut or Theatrical”, exclaimed another.
Meanwhile, the OTT release of Animal came as a surprise to many after a reported dispute between the co-producers -- CINE 1 Studios Private Limited and T Series. The co-producers were tangled over an alleged contractual breach, wherein both parties informed the Delhi High Court about their agreement. Following the resolution, the OTT release of the film has been made possible.
While viewers were looking forward to an extended cut of the film on OTT, it has now been revealed that there will be no added scenes, reported India Today.
Earlier, Netflix released an extended cut of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan while other OTT giants like Disney Plus Hotstar released a similar version of Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra Part One: Shiva.
Besides Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, Animal features an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri in major roles. The plot of the film revolves around a complex relationship between a father and a son.
Animal made its worldwide theatrical premiere on December 1, 2023. It garnered a significant response from the viewers and was a smash hit at the box office.
