The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal after the removal of a few scenes and the replacement of cuss words. The Censor Board cleared the revenge drama with an ‘A’ certificate after the makers carried out five major changes.
The certificate provided by the board was leaked online by an X user on Monday, November 27.

According to the leaked certificate, CBFC asked the makers to remove close-up intimate scenes between Vijay and Zoya, played by Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, respectively. Besides removing a few scenes, the Board also asked the makers to modify the word ‘costume’ to ‘Vastra’.
The Censor Board also asked the makers to remove cuss words and modify a few dialogues.
In a recent interview with The Hindu, the director of the movie, Sandeep Reddy Vanga mentioned that he is happy that the movie has got an ‘A’ certificate as the film is made only for adults. He also added that he personally would not be taking his own son to watch the film.
The movie, Animal has a run time of 3 hours and 23 minutes.
“The first cut of the film was of 3 hours 45 or 46 minutes. I chopped till 3:21. I have seen the film multiple times and it is an engaging film. Ranbir is a great performer and will not let the audience relax for a second. My job is done when the producer is confident of getting his money back with some profit,” Vanga commented on the length of the film, News18 reported.
Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Animal is an action-crime-thriller helmed by Kabir Singh fame filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film narrates a toxic relationship between a son and a father. The plot of the movie mainly revolves around the son, played by Ranbir, who is out to take revenge after his father’s murder.
The film features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Shakti Kapoor and Prem Chopra in pivotal roles. Animal will be released in the theatres on December 1, and it is expected to clash with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur.
