Following an impressive debut, Ranbir Kapoor and Rasmika Mandanna starrer Animal continues to surge on box office. The film has minted ₹236 crore worldwide in just 2 days, according to data by Sacnilk.com.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal entered the ₹100 crore club after it collected ₹66 crore in India on day 2.
The movie recorded an opening collection of ₹63.8 crore. The film has also been a matter of discussion as it garnered significant advance ticket booking numbers crossing over ₹20 crore.
The action-crime-thriller saw a significant increase in occupancy in Mumbai, Delhi/NCR, and Pune, while the Telugu version attracted audiences in Hyderabad, News18 reported.
Going by the third day advance booking, Animal is expected collect ₹35 crore domestically on day 3.
Animal hit the big screens on December 1 alongside Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. The movie has been getting major attention from viewers and critics on its unique storyline since its trailer launch.

Animal revolves around Ranvijay portrayed by Ranbir and the troubled relationship he shares with his father, Balbir Singh played by Anil Kapoor.
Ranvijay, referred to as Vijay, can go to any length to win his father’s affection and approval. His unhealthy relationship with his father impacts his relationship with his wife played by Rashmika Mandanna.
Animal has been given ‘A’ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification with a run time of 3 hours and 21 minutes. It has been collaboratively backed by T Series, Cars on Film, Cine1 Studios, and Bhadrakali Pictures.
The film has been released in five languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. It features Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, and Prem Chopra besides Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in prominent roles.
