Animal Advance Booking: Ranbir Kapoor starrer earns over ₹6 crore ahead of release

More than 2 lakh tickets have been booked so far, including 1.76 lakh tickets in Hindi 2D, and 33 lakh tickets in Telugu 2D.

Out of the total ₹6.42 crore advance booking amount, total collection in Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) stood at ₹1.51 crore while the advance booking in Mumbai stood at ₹59.69 lakh, ₹83.36 lakh in Hyderabad, ₹50.23 lakhs in Bengaluru, ₹12.12 lakh in Chennai in just two days, according to the Sacnilk report.

Following the first day of opening the advance booking for Animal, trade analyst and movie critic, Taran Adarsh shared the advance booking details at PVR Inox and Cinepolis multiplex chains.

Since its trailer launch, Ranbir Kapoor fans are going crazy over the actor’s fierce avatar in this revenge drama. Following unveiling the trailer on Thursday, November 23, the makers also organised a grand music launch event in Mumbai on Friday, November 24.

As speculated from the movie trailer, Animal is the story of a son whose love for his father has gone beyond boundaries. The trailer gives a glimpse into the role played by Rabhir Kapoor, a son out to avenge his father’s murder. The movie features an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna among others. While Anil Kapoor plays the role of Ranbir’s father Bobby Deol is playing a negative role.

The movie has been cleared with an ‘A’ rating by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and has a run time of three hours and 21 minutes. However, fans and critics have been intrigued to watch the movie as the violent and aggressive looks of the actor Ranbir Kapoor seem to be rare for Ranbir.

The movie is expected to clash at the box office with Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming release Sam Bahadur, which is also scheduled for a December 1 release.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga helmed Animal has been backed by Bhushan Kumar and Krishna Kumar’s T-Series, Murad Khetani’s production banner Cine1 Studios and Pranay Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures.
