‘Animal’ advance booking: Ranbir Kapoor’s revenge drama mints ₹14 crore ahead of release

A total of over 5 lakh tickets have already been booked ahead of Animal’s release on December 1.

Ranbir Kapoor’s much-anticipated movie Animal has already been creating buzz ahead of its release. Following the trailer release, Ranbir Kapoor fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the movie.

Ahead of its release, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial has surpassed ₹10 crore collection in advance booking. According to industry tracker Sacnilk.com, as of Wednesday, Ranbir Kapoor’s crime-thriller has already collected ₹13.95 crore in advance ticket booking across the country. Meanwhile, the total number of tickets sold in India, including all the 2D formats of Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada language versions stood at 5 lakhs.
Out of the total ₹13.95 crore of advance booking amount, total collection in the National Capital Region (NCR) stood at ₹2.84 crore with 37% of occupancy, while Mumbai grossed ₹1.2 crore with 23% of occupancy. Meanwhile, Bengaluru has minted ₹1.12 crore with 19% occupancy and Hyderabad saw advance booking of ₹1.46 crore with 37% occupancy.
Meanwhile, trade analyst and movie critic, Taran Adarsh shared the advance booking details at the national chains including PVR Inox and Cinepolis. As per the shared numbers, PVR Inox has sold over 1.6 lakhs of tickets while Cinepolis has sold around 42,000 tickets by far.
Looking at the high demand for tickets, many theatres have declared to open the shows as early as 7:30 am on the day of release. Animal has been slated to hit the theatres on Friday, December 1.
Animal is a crime- thriller revolving around the toxic relationship between a son and a father. The official trailer of the movie, which was released on November 23, gave a glimpse into the fierce character played by Ranbir Kapoor.
The movie features Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Shakti Kapoor and Prem Chopra in pivotal roles.
