Multiple segments picking up; looking at beginning of a great growth path: Siemens
Siemens India on Wednesday said multiple segments are beginning to pick up and that the company is looking at "the beginning of a great growth path".
Siemens on Wednesday said multiple segments are beginning to pick up and that the company is looking at "the beginning of a great growth path". "Auto sector, specifically commercial vehicles, tractors picked up the traction and pharmaceuticals, food and beverage sectors are doing very well," said Sunil Mathur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Limited.
“Our order backlog has visibility of over one year and that’s important that we have an order reach which remains over one year,” he said in an interview with CNBC-TV18.
According to Mathur, the cogeneration recovery is looking up and industrial power plants are beginning to see a pick-up. “We also see traction on the transmission side of the business,” he said.
Speaking about PLI, he said, “We do not directly operate in areas announced for production-linked incentive (PLI), but indirectly as PLI starts playing out and industry begins to encash on that opportunity, we are very much present in the entire digital manufacturing and this is where we can come in and help all the customers who want to expand their manufacturing, setup new manufacturing.”
