The International Energy Agency (IEA) has said that India will have the highest share in energy demand growth at 25 percent over the next two decades.

In an exclusive conversation with CNBC-TV18's Anshu Sharma, Fatih Birol, the executive director of the International Energy Agency, sounded confident about a strong rebound in investments, both from domestic and international investors in India's energy sector.
Birol said, "India's energy demand growth in the entire world is the strongest because of strong economic growth and rapid urbanisation and industrialisation of the economy."
"Global energy investments declined in 2020 by about 20 percent and by 15 percent in India. However I am confident about the Indian energy sector that we will see a strong rebound not only in the investments coming from the Indian investors but also from international investors," he said.
