Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has released Mega DSC, to fill vacant teacher posts across the state, at his residence in Hyderabad on Thursday. The notification was issued to fill up 11,062 posts including school assistants (2,629), language teachers (727), PETs (182), SGTs (6,508) and school assistants (220), SGTs (796) under special category. The age limit for the candidates applying for the DSC examination is 46.
The application from candidates for the above posts will be received from March 4 to April 2. The government has fixed the application fee at ₹1,000. The exams, which will be conducted in 11 towns and cities across the state, will be held online.

The government will announce the dates to conduct the exams very soon. The school education department commissioner has said that those who applied earlier need not apply again and those applications will be considered by the new DSC.

The state government has cancelled the DSC notification for 5,089 posts issued on September 6 last year by the then government. It issued fresh notifications with additional posts to the old one on Wednesday night. The then BRS government issued a DSC notification for 5,089 posts on September 6, 2023, and as many as 1.75 lakh candidates applied for it. However, the exams were postponed due to the Assembly Elections in the state.
Later, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy-led government identified some more vacant teacher posts in the government schools and announced that it would issue a notification to Mega DSC with additional posts to the earlier one. It decided to fill up 11,062 vacant posts. The government cancelled the previous government’s notification and issued the new one on Thursday.
