The National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the declaration of the UGC NET December 2023 exam result to January 17. The candidates can access their results on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in, by logging in with their application numbers and date of birth after it is released.

Originally, the NTA had communicated in the UGC NET information bulletin that the result would be released on January 10, 2024. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, a re-examination round was organised for candidates who could not attend the initially scheduled exam date. This delay was caused by the adverse weather conditions, including flooding, attributed to cyclone Michaung in Chennai and Andhra Pradesh.
“NTA announced in the Information Bulletin that the result of UGC–NET December 2023 will be declared on 10th January 2024, but due to Natural Calamity (Michaung) in Chennai and Andhra Pradesh, a re-exam was conducted in the interest of candidates. Therefore, the Final Result of the aforementioned examination will be declared on 17th January 2024,” NTA stated in the revised announcement.

On January 3, the answer key, response sheet, and question paper for all subject papers were released online, excluding Archaeology. The Archaeology question paper and answer key were subsequently made available. Candidates who applied for this subject can voice their objections until January 10 on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
Following the announcement of the UGC NET results, candidates are advised to carefully examine their scorecards to determine eligibility for an Assistant Professorship or Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). According to the marking scheme, each correct answer will receive two marks, and wrong responses will not result in a deduction of marks.
