UST, a digital transformation solutions company, announced on Wednesday (November 22) that it has opened its new office in Hyderabad. The facility will accommodate over 2,000 employees and will act as a centre for innovative research and development in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and internet of things (IoT), according to the company.
UST added that it is looking to double the headcount in Hyderabad to 4,000 in 2-3 years. "Over the next two years, the site will transition to a global capability centre to meet demand in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, telecom, manufacturing, retail, and insurance sectors," the firm said in a statement.
The new office's Innovation Lab, the fourth in India, is said to focus on AI, CIS, and engineering solutions. Positioned near academic institutions and T-Hub, the lab aims to foster collaboration with startups. UST's partnership with T-Hub reflects its dedication to leveraging Telangana's innovation ecosystem.
“UST's presence in Hyderabad has expanded rapidly since beginning operations in 2018 with just 250 employees, and it celebrated crossing over 1,000 employees in 2021,” the company said in a statement.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of Industries and Commerce (I&C) and IT for Telangana; Krishna Sudheendra, CEO; Alexander Varghese, COO, and other key UST executives.
Alexander Varghese expressed his gratitude for the collaboration with the government of Telangana and CapitaLand Investment, highlighting the company's commitment to contributing to Hyderabad's growth.
