The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will begin the online registration process for the General Duty (GD) Constable exam 2024 on Friday, November 24. The candidates can submit their applications through the official website, ssc.nic.in. The last date to apply is December 28.
The SSC GD Constable Exam for the year 2024 is scheduled to be conducted from February 20–29 and between March 1 and 12. The examination process comprises four stages, including a Computer Based Test (CBT), a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), a Physical Standard Test (PST), and a subsequent medical examination.
A total of 75,768 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive. Successful candidates will be posted in various paramilitary forces, including the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR), and Sepoy in NIA (National Investigation Agency).
Certain categories, such as women candidates and individuals belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen (ESM), are exempt from paying the application fee. For all other applicants, the fee is Rs 100.
The final results, including force allocation, will be determined by the Commission based on candidates’ performance in the CBT and their preference of force, subject to qualifying the PST, PET, Medical Examination, and other conditions specified in the Notice of Examination.
Nationality/Citizenship: Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Age Limit: Applicants should be between 18 and 23 years old as of August 1, 2023.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognised board or university.
