Candidates who have passed the prelims are now appearing for the SBI PO mains exam 2023 today, December 5. The mains exam is a critical phase in the selection process, designed to comprehensively assess the candidates’ knowledge, analytical skills, and overall suitability for the role.
SBI PO Mains Exam paper pattern
The SBI PO mains exam is divided into two main parts – objective and descriptive – both conducted online. The total duration of the exam is three hours, with the objective section carrying 200 marks. This segment is designed to evaluate candidates' knowledge and analytical abilities.
Following the objective section, the descriptive test takes place, accounting for a total of 50 marks. This part includes an essay and a letter writing, assessing candidates’ writing skills and communication abilities.
Guidelines for SBI PO Mains exam day
Marking scheme for SBI PO Mains Exam 2023
There will be a negative marking for incorrect answers in the objective tests. For each wrongly answered question, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty. Leaving a question blank will not incur any penalty. It is essential to note that sectional marks will not be maintained for both the preliminary and main examinations.
