SBI Clerk Prelims Exams 2024: Check exam timings, pattern, guidelines and other details
The State Bank of India (SBI) Clerk Prelims Exams 2024 has begun today. The examination will fill up 8,773 openings in the junior associate position.

As per the schedule shared by the authorities, the additional preliminary exams will be taking place on January 6, 11, and 12. The admit cards for the SBI Clerk Prelims Exams 2024 have been released on the official website of the State Bank of India at sbi.co.in.
SBI Clerk Prelims Exams 2024: Exam Timings
As regulated by the administration, the SBI Clerk Prelims Exam is being conducted in four shifts through the exam day while aiming to accommodate a large number of applicants. The Shift 1 will be from 9 am to 10 am, while the Shift 2 will be from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Following a gap in between, Shift 3 will be from 2 pm to 3 pm, while Shift 4 will be from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
SBI Clerk Prelims Exams 2024: Exam Pattern
The preliminary exam of SBI Clerk is being conducted online which consists of a question set of Objective Tests carrying 100 marks in total. The question paper includes three sections such as English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability, with different dedicated time durations.
According to an official notification by SBI, negative marks will be applicable for incorrect answers in the examination, wherein 1/4th marks assigned to each question will be deducted.
SBI Clerk Prelims Exam 2024: Exam Guidelines
To conduct the preliminary examination of SBI Clerk 2024, the administration has outlined various guidelines. They are-
Candidates are required to report to the examination centre at the mentioned reporting time that is printed on the admit cards.
The candidates appearing for the examination are required to affix their recent passport-size photograph in the space provided in the admit card and also bring two additional photographs, photo identity proof in original and a photocopy of the same to the examination centre.
No calculators, cell phones, books, smartwatches, slide rulers, notebooks or written notes will be allowed during the examination.
Candidates are not required to carry a rough sheet as sheets will be provided for rough work at the exam centre.
Meanwhile, the SBI Clerk Prelims exam results are expected to be released by the administration by the first or second week of February 2024. Following the preliminary exam results, the Main exams will be conducted.
