Rozgar Mela: PM Modi distributes over 51,000 appointment letters
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to the freshly inducted recruits under the ‘Rozgar Mela’ through video conferencing.

Addressing the new recruits, PM Modi said that the appointment letters are the result of the hard work and talent of the new recruits.
“The campaign of providing jobs to lakhs of youth in the country by the Government of India is continuing. Today, more than 50,000 youth have been given appointment letters for government jobs. This appointment letter is the result of your hard work and talent. I congratulate you and your family very much,” PM Modi said, reported ANI.
Sharing a glimpse of the event, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) posted on X, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributes more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits.”
“As employees of the Government of India, you all have to fulfill big responsibilities. Whatever position you hold, whatever field you work in, your top priority should be the ease of living of the countrymen,” PM Modi added.
The Rozgar Mela is a year-old initiative launched by PM Modi in October 2022, to recruit youths in various government departments. The initiative aims to provide 10 lakh government jobs to the eligible candidates.
According to a PIB release dated November 28, this year a total of 37 Rozgar Mela events were planned at different locations across the country and several of them have already been successfully completed. The recruitment process is being undertaken to fill up vacancies in Central Government departments as well as in the Union Territory Administrations.
The initiative targets to recruit the selected candidates from across the country to join various ministries or departments including the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Higher Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare; and Ministry of Labour and Employment, among others.
As the PIB report states, the new recruits under the initiative will be contributing to the assigned departments in strengthening the industrial, economic, and social aspects with their innovative ideas and competencies.
Meanwhile, the recently recruited appointees are going to get an opportunity to be trained through the Karmayogi Prarambh, which is an online course available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal. This portal provides over 800 e-learning courses with the option of getting them in an ‘anywhere any device’ learning format for ease.
