The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has signed a partnership with skilling, and workforce development company, upGrad to offer high-quality higher education and skilling programmes to India's youth.
Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), this collaboration aims to bolster India's skill-ability, fostering skill enhancement and facilitating study abroad opportunities, informed a press release.
The MoU was officially exchanged at the NSDC office last Friday. The aim of the partnership is to open doors for learners from diverse backgrounds, including college students, graduates, freshers, and working professionals, providing them access to a wide array of online programmes spanning emerging technologies, management, law, digital marketing, and more.
"This marks an important academic milestone for upGrad. Our online programs are designed by industry leaders for evolving job specifics, and this partnership will encourage upskilling across every Indian household, contributing towards India's mission of achieving 50% GER by 2030. Phase I is set to go live in the next 45-60 days, allowing individuals to sign up for the programs through the Skill India Digital Platform." said Mayank Kumar and Rohit Agarwal, representing upGrad.
Through this participants will get immersive learning experiences, encompassing industry-ready projects, boot camps, masterclasses, live sessions, and personalized one-on-one mentorship, mentioned in the release.
Additionally, NSDC learners will receive exclusive access to upGrad's comprehensive career development services, including valuable placement opportunities within India and abroad.
