CLAT 2024 Result: This Bengaluru student-teacher duo stuns all with their top rankings
A student and teacher duo hailing from Bengaluru have bagged the second and third positions in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2024, reported Times of India. The results of CLAT 2024 were announced on Sunday, December 10.

As per the media report, Rahul Palakurthy is a tutor at the Career Launcher Institute located in Indiranagar, Bengaluru. Meanwhile, Pradhyot Shah, a class 12 student, was taking training from Rahul. The duo appeared for the CLAT examination this year and secured the same score, however, the better performance in the legal section got Pradhyot the second rank.
Pradhyot told the daily, “I cannot believe that I have scored as much as my sir. He is simply excellent in what he does.” Pradhyot also mentioned that once he identified law as his passion, he was completely focused on cracking CLAT.
“The power of a lawyer in impacting a person’s life drew me to take up law for my career,” Pradhyot added.
Pradhyot, the son of an architect, will be choosing between NLSIU Bangalore and NLU Delhi. Right now, he is preparing for the Class 12 board exams.
As for Rahul Palakurthy, this was the third attempt. Wondering, why? It helps him “plan for better teaching strategies for students.”
Speaking to TOI, Rahul said, “I take exams to plan for better teaching strategies for my students and be updated with the exam patterns as well. The competitive exams can never be predictable, and the right approach is needed to crack them in the given period. For teachers, writing such tests will also help them to introspect their teaching methods on students.”
Meanwhile, a candidate from Rajasthan has topped the CLAT undergraduate examination (5 years integrated BA-LLB) while scoring 100, while six candidates have secured 99.99 percentile in the exam.
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a centralised national-level entrance test. It is conducted to help candidates get admission to 22 national law universities across the country. This year, the CLAT 2024 was held on December 3 at 139 test centres. Following the results, shortlisted candidates can register themselves for the admission cum counselling process starting from December 12, which will be concluding on December 22, 2023.
