The survey – which had more than 1400 executives worldwide, including more than 130 from India – revealed that a significant percentage of executives in India are receiving no formal workplace onboarding, which can impact their performance in a role.
"A lack of a robust onboarding poses potential brand and security risks," the report said.
As per the survey, executives in the Middle East and Africa are most likely to receive a formal onboarding from their organization, with 58 percent of executive leaders surveyed in the region reporting they had a formal onboarding process at the start of their most current role.
On the other hand, only 36 percent executives in the US and Canada reported they had a formal onboarding process.
By career level, the board of directors are most likely to go through a formal onboarding process while CEOs and presidents are the least likely to be
onboarded, as per the survey.
The survey also questioned respondents on what they thought was
important to include in an onboarding process. 20 percent said they would like information on the company’s goals and vision, with 14 percent recommending an overview of internal processes and 10 percent recommending an overview of the corporate culture.
