Deputy Chief Minister and Telangana Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday, February 10, presented the vote-on-account budget for 2024-25 financial year with a total outlay of ₹2.76 lakh crore in the State Legislative Assembly.

Addressing the house, he said that their government made allocations to various sectors and departments after estimating the actual revenue.
“₹53,196 crore was allocated in the budget towards the implementation of the guarantees. This allocation was made based on the primary estimation," the minister said.
He highlighted the outreach efforts, including sabhas in villages and wards from December 28 to January 6, where 1.29 crore people applied to benefit from the six guarantees.
The Deputy Chief Minister assured the appointment of 15,000 constables, announced plans for a Mega DSC, and allocated ₹40 crore for the maintenance of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) along with the appointment of additional staff.
Additionally, he announced a ₹5 lakh accident insurance plan for gig workers under the social security scheme and earmarked ₹300 crore per month for the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) under the Mahalakshmi scheme.

  • Providing 200 units of free power to eligible households under the Gruhalakshmi scheme.
  • Implementation of the LPG cylinder at ₹500 scheme in the near future.
  • Expectation of attracting ₹40,000 crore in investments following the Chief Minister's recent visit to Davos.
  • Development of the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park with PM Mitra Funds.
  • Establishment of two leather parks and pharma clusters across the state.
  • A comprehensive plan to utilise dry ports effectively.
  • Integration of Artificial Intelligence in rural development.
  • Introduction of a new policy for skill development in the IT sector, with plans for statewide expansion.
  • Ongoing consultations with the US-based IT Serve company to expand the IT sector in the state.
  • Development of the state with a fully-fledged fiber network connection.
  • Sector and department-wise budget allocations are as follows:
    • ₹53,196 crore to six guarantees.
    • ₹19,746 crore to Agriculture.
    • ₹40,080 crore to Panchayatraj and Rural development.
    • ₹28,024 crore to the Irrigation department.
    • ₹774 crore to the IT department.
    • ₹11,692 crore to the Municipal Administration department.
    • ₹21,389 crore to the Education sector.
    • ₹1,000 crore to the Musi Project.
    • ₹11,500 crore to Medical and Healthcare.
    • ₹21,874 crore to SC Welfare department.
    • ₹8,000 crore to BC Welfare department.
    • ₹13,313 crore to ST Welfare department.
    • ₹2,262 crore to Minority Welfare department.
    • ₹7,740 crore to Housing development.
