State-owned retailers on Friday (March 1) announced adjustments to the prices of commercial LPG gas cylinders. The revised rates include ₹25 increase for 19 Kg commercial LPG gas cylinders in major metropolitan areas.
In Delhi, the retail price for a 19 Kg commercial LPG cylinder has risen to ₹1,795, while in Mumbai, it now stands at ₹1,749.
As of March 1, the prices in Kolkata and Chennai for the 19 kg cylinder have been adjusted to ₹1,911 and ₹1,960.50, respectively.
This recent revision follows the OMCs' decision on February 1 to raise the prices of 19 kg Indane Gas cylinders to ₹1,769.50 and ₹1,887 in Delhi and Kolkata.
In Mumbai and Chennai, the revised prices were set at ₹1,723.50 and ₹1,937 per cylinder.
Along with commercial LPG cylinders, oil companies have also increased the prices of jet fuel.
This increase has been made after four consecutive price cuts. The new increased rates of aviation fuel will also be applicable from Friday, March 1.
State-owned Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) revise cooking gas prices on the 1st of every month based on the average international price in the previous month.
