India should provide a timeline on when consignments from China will be cleared, says USISPF

The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum has written to the DPIIT raising concerns over reports that consignments are being held up at Indian ports.

CNBC-TV18 had reported on Tuesday that a few consignments from China, including a few that had been cleared earlier, have been moved to isolated docks for re-examination. The USISPF has indicated to the DPIIT that the lack of information over this unanticipated embargo is being seen as a chilling message by foreign investors as it disrupts operations, and hurts business interests. Shereen Bhan discussed with Mukesh Aghi, president & CEO of USISPF,  on the issue .
