Indian airlines are creating a lot of job opportunities in the US by placing orders for the Boeing flights, said Ajay Singh, chairman and MD, SpiceJet.

“As India grows, America grows with India. SpiceJet has placed an order for more than 200 Boeing aircraft, along with the orders placed by Jet Airways and Air India and as per the US department of commerce, that created an excess of 130,000 high paid jobs in the US," Singh said.
He was speaking at the board meeting of the US India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) in New Delhi on Monday.
John Chambers, chairman, USISPF and founder and CEO of JC2 Ventures, on the US-India partnership said that the relationship between India and the US are the most strategic for both countries.
"What excites me the most is the startup community. If you watch the graduates of IIT, they are starting to form more companies here in India and also in the US," he said.
"If you look at economic growth over the next 10 years in India, I personally think 7-10 percent is a very doable number. A large part of that will be around startups and a win-win relationship with the US," Chambers added.
Sanjay Nayar, CEO, KKR India, on the reform agenda said, “Not as an economist, but as a practical guy, this government has picked up some of the good things from the previous government left and the prime minister did a fantastic job in digitising the whole infrastructure."
